10 Essential Ending Riffs
If you’ve ever felt unsure about how to end a tune at a jam session, this will help.
This lesson covers 10 common jazz endings that you’ll hear all the time on recordings and on the bandstand. They’re practical, musical, and easy to start using right away.
Learning a few solid endings can make a big difference. It helps you sound more confident, makes things clearer for the band, and avoids those awkward endings where no one’s quite sure what’s happening.
What’s Included
- 20 PDF charts with TAB (all 10 endings in the keys of C and F)
- 10 video lessons where Frank demonstrates and works through each ending
- 2 MP3 jam tracks to practice with
How to Practice
Take a tune you already know and try ending it a few different ways. Notice how each ending changes the feel of the tune.
Start slowly, then try them with a backing track or other musicians. The more you use them, the more natural they’ll feel.
These are simple tools, but they go a long way. Once you get comfortable with them, ending a tune will feel just as natural as playing a solo.
